The Story of Environmental Training Fund

Meet the President & Founder

For the past ten years CWD International, Incorporated has worked as a 501c3 nonprofit organization by providing awareness, education and quality training to community and parent groups, universities, schools, businesses, agencies and governments for the purposes of developing safe, healthy communities. It has come to the attention of CWD that the national problem of lead paint poisoning is pervasive within communities throughout this country. Furthermore, the average individual’s awareness and knowledge about lead paint poisoning and its ramifications, especially the health of children, is sorely lacking. To fulfill this need, CWD has created the Environmental Training Fund and committed to the following mission:

ETF endeavors to increase lead-based paint awareness and knowledge by providing education programs to several community sectors. ETF is funded by contributions made by public and private industry and government . The contributions are designated for training scholarships for the following groups.

  • • Grassroots educational campaigns communities and families involving the dangers of lead paint poisoning.

    • Environmental training programs for local government employees of health departments, building code and inspection departments.

    • Training scholarship awards for qualified homeless, low income, unemployed and otherwise bona-fide needing people.

  • ETF endeavors to maintain a high quality level of leadership and training in the area of lead paint poisoning by soliciting expertise from industry leaders and pioneers through participation as board members.

As state and federal governments continue to work towards the assurance of environmentally safe and healthy communities and homes to its citizenry; the Environmental Training Fund looks forward to developing a long and successful partnership. Together we will continue to reduce lead paint poisoning in America.
